Receive and send from GoHighLevel

WhatsApp chats land in Conversations like any other. Reply from there on the SMS channel (the account's Phone System has Wappuccino as provider) and the message goes out on WhatsApp from your number.

Incoming messages

  • Every message received opens or updates the contact's conversation in Conversations.
  • Wappuccino looks up the contact by phone number. If there is none, it creates one with the tag wa:+... of your number that received the message.
  • Photos, audio, video and documents up to 5 MB arrive as attachments. Larger ones arrive as a note in the text.
  • Only want existing contacts? Turn on Only existing contacts in Settings. Need to stop everything for a while? Turn on Pause incoming messages.

Sending

  • Reply from the conversation in Conversations. The message leaves from the number picked by the routing rules.
  • You can attach files: each attachment goes as its own message, with the text as the caption of the first.
  • Links in the text go with a preview when the site allows it.
  • Messages go out one at a time, in a queue, for a natural pace.

Message statuses

Each sent message shows in GoHighLevel when it is sent, delivered and read, as soon as WhatsApp reports it. If it does not go out, the message is marked failed with the reason. The list of reasons is in the FAQ.

Messages written on the phone

You can keep using WhatsApp on the phone. Messages you write on the phone (or WhatsApp Web) also show up in the GoHighLevel conversation, as sent. They do not count in statistics.

Do Not Disturb

With Respect Do Not Disturb on in Settings, messages to contacts marked Do Not Disturb in GoHighLevel do not go out.
